Stornoway Diamond Corporation is one of Canada’s leading diamond exploration and development companies, working to develop a prospective, diversified project portfolio with established diamond resources in the ground. Stornoway reached key milestones on its main projects over this past year. The Renard project, located in central northern Quebec, reported its first formal resource and corresponding positive Preliminary Assessment which included impressive potential resources that Stornoway has been working to realize, with great success, so far in 2009. In addition to work on our flagship project, an independent, conceptual resource study was completed for the Aviat project, located in eastern Nunavut, adding significantly to our growing inventory of diamonds in the ground. The results establish Aviat as a potential pipeline development project for the company in the near term.

Despite volatile markets for rough diamonds, diamond jewellery and diamond equities, Stornoway has persisted in advancing its key projects, and looks forward to a busy and prosperous future bringing new diamond mining projects forward in an era of steadily growing demand and increasing scarcity of supply.
